Pastor Bryant R. Ali (AKA) The Pastor in the Hood is a
native of Northern New Jersey and currently serves as the Pastor of New
Psalmist Worship Center, Newark NJ. Pastor Ali is clinically trained and was
educated in the Newark, Orange and Hillside NJ Public School Systems. He has also
attended several higher learning centers and holds a Doctorate of Divinity
Degree in Holistic Theology. Pastor Ali is personally submitted to the
spiritual covering of Bishop Vaughn McLaughlin and Covenant Fellowship
International.
Pastor Ali currently holds affiliations
with numerous groups including the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship Int.
where he serves as the Episcopal District Overseer and First Assistant to the State of NJ Bishop Rudy V.
Carlton. He Is a Past President of the Baptist Ministers Conference
of Newark & Vicinity. He also serves in the role of Spiritual Counselor for
the Newark Anti-Violence Coalition,
. He currently serves on the board of The Newark Community Health Centers Inc.and CCRB . He has previously served on numerous other boards
including UMDNJ Bio-Ethics, UMDNJ Institutional Review Board, NJ AIDS
Partnership and Irvington Counseling Center. Pastor Ali was previously the
President of Irvington’s Planning Board. Pastor

Pastor Ali is an internet radio APAL Co-Host,author, community activist, counselor,
teacher and preacher with an urban twist. He is happily married to Lady Balena
L. Ali and they share a blended family of eight adult children and 19
grandchildren and 3 great grand children

I’m one who truly believes in balance. Football 🏈 games, solitaire games are toys in my life that produces false joy and animated frustrations. I’m a forty plus year fan of the Steelers, but the fact of the matter is not one player knows me. The reality is I need to spend more time communicating with my Lord, my family, the members I serve and people I encounter.
